How to create sloping plane surface data simply with a monitor.
Answer
You can create the data from "Surfaces" in "Project File Settings" menu.
Explanation / How to deal
- Select the menu in the lower right corner.
- Choose "Project File Settings.”
- Touch ”Surfaces."
- Select "New".
- Input any name (design data file name and type), select sloping plane surface, and select Next.
- After selecting the starting point (point A) and the ending point (point B), the angle and slope in the longitudinal direction are input by selecting "Calculate Main-fall".
- After selecting the longitudinal calculation, select "Finish".
- Select ✓ if you want to set (name of created data) to the working design data.
- The display is back, and the sloping plane surface data is created.
Supplementary Explanation 1 (When the direction is correct but the slope needs to be adjusted)
After inputting the data, you can manually correct the data by re-selecting the direction and grade.
(Direction is 0° north clockwise, grade is default %, see example below.)
Ex.) 10% 5-minute slope [horizontal 1.5 vertical 1] 100/1.5 ≒ 66.6% is entered.
Ex.) 20% slope [horizontal 2.0 vertical 1] 100/2.0 =50.0% is input.
Supplementary Explanation 2 (If you want to add a cross-sectional grade)
After the angle and grade in the vertical direction have been determined, if you wish to add a cross-fall slope, enter the following in the Cross-fall Grade field.
Ex.) Right ascending 10% slope [horizontal 1.5 vertical 1] 100/1.5 ≒ 66.6% is input.
Ex.) 20% right-down slope [horizontal 2.0 vertical 1] 100/2.0 = -50.0%.
This is only a simplified procedure for creating data.
If you need more precise construction, you will need to prepare 3D design data separately.
Also, please note that some of the display menus on the monitor may differ.
