Issue
"Initializing..." is displayed. is displayed
Answer
The following points may help to improve the situation.
To identify the cause, please review the most likely factors based on the following three perspectives.
1. point of change | Change of operating location, change of correction information, parts replacement, etc. before and after display. |
2. environment | Satellite acquisition environment (high-voltage lines, sky coverage), correction information acquisition environment (fixed station settings, baseline), etc. |
3. hardware software |
・Hardware ・Software Data processing failure, etc. |
*"Initializing..." appears when the information required to calculate the cutting edge position is not satisfactorily met and a FIX solution cannot be obtained.
Factors likely to affect the initialization display
1. Is the supplementary satellite environment secured?
2. Is the correction information set properly?
3. Are there any loose wires, deterioration, or malfunctions in the hardware?
4.Others
Factor | How to deal |
1. Is the supplementary satellite environment secured?
Is there an unobstructed view of the GNSS antenna? |
・If there are devices that block GNSS antennas, do not block them. ・Work in areas free of high-voltage power lines, etc. ・Work in areas where the sky above the GNSS antenna is unobstructed by forests, valleys, etc. *If the GNSS antenna's sky coverage is low, the number of satellite acquisitions may decrease and the "initializing" status may be displayed more frequently. |
Is the satellite flying condition good? |
・Work only after the satellite flying status of the site (region) recovers. *When the satellite flying condition (number of supplementary satellites) is not good, the information required to calculate the cutting edge position may not be satisfactory and initialization may be displayed (DOP value of 2.5 or lower is recommended). |
2. Is the correction information set properly?
Appropriate mount point is not selected. (When using Ntirp)
|
Set the appropriate mount point. Menu>Machine Setup>GNSS Configuration>Next>Next>Radio Type> NET > Press the spanner symbol to the left of the mount point to change it > ✔ * Mount point is different for each correction information provider. |
Isn't the baseline distance too far? (When using Ntrip/radio) |
・When using Ntrip, work within 10 km of the recommended baseline distance. ・When using a radio, work within the recommended environment for the radio. * Accuracy tends to become less stable the further away from the electronic reference station/fixed station is. Menu > Satellite Mark > Info > Distance to Base
|
The setting of the radio is not appropriate. (When using a radio) |
Set the appropriate radio communication speed. |
Fixed station is not properly configured and located (When using Ntrip/radio) |
・Review the fixed station's installation environment (is there anything obstructing the antenna in the sky?) ・Review the fixed station settings. ・Review the input coordinates (latitude and longitude) of the fixed station. |
3. Are there any loose wires, deterioration, or malfunctions in the hardware? Is there any software data processing failure? |
|
Is there a temporary problem? |
・Reset the receiver Menu > Satellite mark > Info > Reset receiver > ✔ ・Restart the engine |
Check for loose GNSS antenna wiring |
・If there is any looseness in the wiring on the GNSS antenna side, retighten it. ・If there is any looseness in the wiring on the GNSS receiver side, retighten it. *Wiring may loosen due to vibration during machine operation. |
Is the GNSS antenna broken? |
・Check the satellite acquisition status of the GNSS antenna from the screen. If the GNSS antenna is not acquiring any satellites, the cable around the GNSS antenna or the GNSS antenna may be broken. ・If one of the GNSS antennas is not acquiring satellites, replace the main/sub GNSS antenna and check the satellite acquisition status to isolate the faulty part. |
4.Others | |
Not updated to the latest version | ・Upgrade ICT-specific monitors. ・Upgrading GNSS receivers |
Communication of correction information is not stable. |
・Ensure stable wireless communication environment. ・Ensure stable communication environment for mobile communication network. |
